Principal's Message

Greetings Hero Families,

Welcome to Harvie Elementary!  We are so excited to embrace our school theme again this year, “The Game Changers… Heroes STILL Leading the Way!”  Our little heroes continue to live this theme by meeting and exceeding the state standards ensuring that Harvie Elementary maintained FULL ACCREDITATION status.  Our theme embodies the way we as heroes think and grow.  As we begin Year 3 of the Covey Leader in Me 7 Habits implementation, our greatest game changer will continue to be the mindset of growth.  Our heroes will continue to grow as leaders and lead the way toward greater heights of excellence!

This school year we continue to ask our entire school community to embrace Harvie and spread the message that our number one priority continues to be student achievement.  We want 2016-17 to be a very positive and productive year together!

My charge this year is to ensure that each of our students are being taught and led on a daily basis by our qualified and loving staff.  Our staff is here to embrace opportunities for your child, unlock the potential in your child, and inspire excellence in your child!

This can all be done through the building of healthy and appropriate relationships, quality lesson planning developed with your child’s needs in mind, data analysis, and professional conversations.

Harvie continues to maintain a strong PTA and I ask that each of our family members support them by becoming a member.  We extend a yearlong invitation to our families to join us for all school activities and events whenever possible.  We want . . . we need . . . and we value your involvement and support in your child’s education!  Your active participation is one of the instrumental pieces driving your child’s success.

Let’s have an awesome school year!
