When was the last time you walked into a completely silent classroom? In American Sign Language Class (ASL) students sign to their virtual instructor and each other in silence. It’s an eerie feeling to walk into a room where students are actively communicating with one another in absolute silence. The ASL class is taught virtually through Henrico County’s Virtual Academy. Mrs. Jennifer Barnes who is deaf and mute teaches the class virtually from Louisiana. Did you know there was an ASL course offered at Deep Run?
